Strive to show kindness to others. It can be uplifting, disarming, and unexpected. Kindness can calm tempers and soothe pain. One kind word or gesture can brighten someone’s day. It’s also an attribute that Jesus displayed, and he desires that we do the same. When we are kind others can see Jesus within us.
So, if someone is being rude show them kindness, they won’t expect it. If someone demands that you do something instead of asking, show kindness and do more than what they requested (Matthew 5:41). It’s not the easiest thing to do. It probably wasn’t easy for Jesus either, but he did it. He is our example of how we are to treat others. Reflect Christ everywhere you go. One way to do that is to be kind. Bonus: it will brighten your day too.
