Stay Alert

Refuse to blame God for all the unpleasant things that have happened in your life. Some of the trials we face are meant to strengthen us, not harm us. God allows some unpleasant situations to occur to help us grow. If we got everything we wanted and never faced any trials, we would be like spoiled children.

There are some situations we face that have nothing to do with God. The devil is constantly looking for ways to separate us from God. When we are separated from God, it is easier for us to fall victim to whatever schemes the devil has placed in our paths. He is a liar and a deceiver. We must pay attention! God will provide a way out when the devil tries to trick or deceive us.

This is one reason why it’s so important to maintain a relationship with God. It helps us be more vigilant and recognize these traps more easily, which helps us to avoid them. I encourage you to stay alert. Also remember that if you resist the devil, he will flee.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour; whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” (1 Peter 5:8-9)

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)
