Something to Expect

When you realize the power you have through the Holy Spirit that resides within you and start operating in that knowledge (Matthew 17:20), you will notice attacks from the devil. He doesn’t like that you know that, and he will try to discourage you. He wouldn’t bother attacking you so harshly otherwise. The devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy. Thieves usually don’t break into houses they know are empty. He’s trying to stop you from fulfilling God’s purpose for you. He will try to use your thoughts, your friends, your family members, places, things, etc., to try to discourage and distract you.

No matter what comes your way, remember that God is always with you. God has given us everything we need to stand against the devil. Use the tools he has given you (prayer, reading the Bible, rebuking the devil and any evil he tries to send your way in the name of Jesus). Be confident in knowing this and continue to be encouraged.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)
