Following God's Lead

When I get discouraged about unmet needs or desires, I try to remind myself about the blessings that God has already bestowed upon me and others. I think about what he has done in my life and I thank him for those things. I encourage myself by remembering that there were other times when I was discouraged, and God always came through for me. Sometimes you just have to encourage yourself. Encouragement from other people is great but I don’t have to wait for encouragement from others. Encourage yourself! Think about what God has already done for you and stay strong while you wait for your next blessing.

“I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.” (Psalms 77:11-12)
