Relinquishing Control

It is great to believe in yourself. Self confidence is important. We also must remember that we are not in control. God is in control, and we can do all things through him. Believing in just yourself is at the center of our inclination to be in control. Most of us want to be in control of every situation in our lives. The pressure of attempting to be in control will eventually set you up to get knocked out by life’s hardships.

God is in control. He doesn’t have limitations as we do. We must relinquish our desire for control and have faith that God’s way of doing things is best. We were not created to be in control.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” (Galatians 2:20,21)
