We spend most of our time focusing on temporary things. More specifically, the things we can see. Our jobs are temporary. Money is temporary. Pain, stress, and life here on earth are all temporary. We forget that our time spent on earth is a fraction of time compared to where we will spend eternity. We must not forget that time with the Lord is necessary. Jesus is forever.
“while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not see: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 1 Corinthians 4:18
