Loving Others with Words

Think before you speak, be honest, and speak words that are healing. Is what you are about to say helpful, inspirational, necessary, or kind? Words can build people up or tear them down, so choose your words wisely. Wise words are satisfying like a good meal, the right words can bring comfort and contentment (Proverbs 18:20).

“Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.” (Proverbs 12:25)

“The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips. Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” (Proverbs 16:23-24)
