It’s human nature to prioritize our comfort, success, and happiness. Easily putting ourselves first. Following Jesus means flipping that way of thinking. This means letting go of selfishness, pride, and our plans so we can prioritize God’s plan for our lives. We must put him in the center of everything. When we truly love God more than ourselves, we become more generous, forgiving, and more focused on what’s important. It’s not always going to be easy, but it’s worth it because living for God creates a deeper joy than anything else can.
“And he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” Luke 9:23
