Sometimes we go through the same situations over again. We may not realize that we’re trying to do things on our own without God’s help. If you find yourself going through the same situations repeatedly, you might want to ask God for help. Ask him, “What are you saying to me? What is keeping me from learning the lesson you are trying to teach me?” Sometimes we just don’t get it, and we need God to open our eyes so we can see what we’re missing. We need clarification.
God is not vague, and he is not the author of confusion. If we are unsure of what the lesson is, then we may be distracted. We need to remove distractions in our lives so we can hear what God is saying to us. There are external distractions, like other people or our jobs, but you can also be a distraction. When you’re focused on your own desires and wants instead of focusing on what God wants you to do, this is an example of that.
Spend more time with God through prayer and reading his word. This will help you better understand what he is saying to you.
