When you are by yourself, mind your thoughts. The enemy likes to attack you when you’re alone. He tries to invade your thoughts with negativity. For example, negative “self-talk” or dwelling on things from the past that caused you pain or anger. Recognize that this is the enemy trying to discourage you or disturb your peace.
When you feel you are in trouble, be mindful of your emotions. Fear and uncertainty can cause you to make bad decisions. Remember that God desires to help you no matter what situation you find yourself in. Remain calm and ask God for guidance and help.
When God blesses you, be mindful of your ego. Boasting and thinking too highly of yourself because of what God has blessed you with is unwise. God honors humility. Instead, be thankful and help others with whatever God has blessed you with.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (1Timothy 1:7)
“When pride cometh, then cometh shame: But with the lowly is wisdom.” (Proverbs 11:2)
