Praising God through your pain is a deep level of worship. Thanking him when you’re in the middle of trials and difficult times is also an example of deep worship. Take a moment and think about what God has already done to help you. Remember the situations he helped you overcome and thank him for those things.
Being able to trust God when you’re tempted to lose hope or give up is yet another example of deep worship. Know that God is working things out even if you can’t see it. Focus on what God can do instead of focusing on what you can’t do. Also, don’t forget that God’s timing is different from our own. We must be patient.
Loving him, even when things aren’t going your way, is also a deep level of worship. Continue to follow God’s instruction according to his word and stay in constant contact with him no matter how upset you feel. He is our light in the darkness and our strength when we are weak.
“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; For I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.” (Psalm 42:11)
“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, though shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” (Isaiah 43:2)
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
