Continue to Keep Your Eyes on God

No matter what you’re going through, keep your eyes on God. When unpleasant things happen or difficult times come, our first instinct is to ask why is this happening to me? Sometimes we blame God for what has happened. The enemy, the devil, is usually to blame. (I say usually because sometimes we do things to cause problems for ourselves.) The enemy tries to separate us from God in any way he can. Instead of blaming God for what has happened, turn to God for help, guidance, and peace.

God is our refuge. We need him to stand against the enemy. Don’t let the enemy trick you into believing that God doesn’t love you or has abandoned you. Lies! He’s trying to separate you from God, and he will try to use anything to do it. Don’t let him deceive you. Always turn to God in every situation. God can take that thing the enemy intended for harm and turn it into something that works for your benefit. Believe in your heart that no matter what happens, God will come through for you.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:35, 38)
